who i am

I’m a filmmaker because I believe stories can shift how we see things and connect us in ways NOTHING else can.

I’ve always been deeply fascinated by cameras. Growing up I’d steal my mom’s 2008 Motorola Razr and film myself doing all kinds of stuff. I just didn’t know yet a passion for documenting life was being born.

That sort of outlet for self-expression, though, was never really further developed / explored for a while. Looking back on it today I think it was because I was a very anxious kid and the only way I’d find to cope with it was by playing sports - so that’s what I’d do, all day, everyday.

Anyways, it all changed at age 20. That’s when I started taking it seriously. Before that I was too focused on trying to become a professional tennis player. But good thing that failed (miserably) because then it made room for a different form passion to arise - filmmaking.

From Street photography to Sports photography to Youtube videos to Summer camp videos to branded videos, the last 5 years have been quite a journey. I’ve explored different formats, unique styles and although I believe I’m yet to find my “niche”, I know that I’m the happiest when I’m creating.

I’m always striving to make something, whatever it is, that makes you feel something in one way or another.

In 2019, I moved to the US. I went to college in Florida where I played college tennis for four years and pursued a bachelors degree in Film Production. And in May of 2023, I got it.

I’ve been working at a summer camp in Maine called Camp Manitou every summer since 2018 and as of 2023 I’ve had the position of Video Director which has taught me a lot about video production.

I’m currently based where I was born and raised - Rio de Janeiro, Brazil even though my heart belongs in NYC as well. I lived in New York for a year and plan on moving back in the next year.

If you’re interested in collaborating on a project or have a story you’d like to bring to life, let’s connect:)

I’m always open to new opportunities to create and share impactful films.
